Pinellas commission, school board districts hearing planned
After working behind-the-scenes, Pinellas County intends to let the public in on the proposed County Commission and School Board districts at a Sept. 27 public hearing.
The commission is expected to approve the date at Tuesday's meeting. If the board backs the maps on Sept. 27, they can go into effect after being advertised, according to plans proposed in a staff memo.
Essentially, only three of the districts will change, and only on subtley, under the proposal from county staff. More on how the maps have come about is here.
