Headlined by U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, the Pinellas County Democratic Party will have a kickoff for its general election candidates at 10:30 a.m. Aug. 28 at the Marriott Hotel on Roosevelt Boulevard in St. Petersburg, the party announced.

"Come help kick-off the 2010 general election with the Pinellas County Democratic candidates for State Rep., State Senator, County Commissioner as well as candidates for Congress. ... The event is free and open to anyone who wants to help get Democrats elected this fall."
