15

March

Pinellas County is taking questions here for its Internet-based eTownHall meeting on its budget from 6:30 to 8 Monday night. The county plans to cut $60 million this summer to cure a deficit in 2011 and prepare for more cuts in 2012.

Some key points from the county's news release on the event:

County commissioners will answer blogged questions during the eTownHall meeting, which can be viewed on the Pinellas County Web site or on the PCC-TV cable channels (Bright House 622, Knology 18 and Verizon 44).

People without computers can go to three libraries to use computers during the meeting:

  • Palm Harbor Library, 2330 Nebraska Ave.
  • Largo Library, 120 Central Park Drive
  • Johnson Branch of the St. Petersburg Library, 1059 18th Ave. S.

The county's third and final traditional public meeting on the budget will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Gibbs High School, 850 34th St. S, St. Petersburg.
