Prepping for cuts, Pasco asks residents for ideas
Fearing a $29-million estimated drop in property taxes, Pasco County's top brass has reached out via the Web for ideas on making spending cuts.
The county's Internet site features a link for residents and employees to offer suggestions. The site also has links to documents related to the upcoming work as part of Pasco's LEAP program -- Lean, Efficient, Accountable Pasco. (See it here.)
For even more ideas, the county has hired a Washington-based consultant to help out, agreeing to spend $159,000 this year for guidance from ICMA Consulting Services.
