Problems emerge early in Pasco

At five Pasco County polling places, electronic signature machines failed to work, slowing down the voting process.

"We have a Plan B,'' said Elections Supervisor Brian Corley. "People are registering on paper.'' Technicians are on their way to solve the problem.

Tracy Walker said she waited for two hours at Crest Ridge Gardens Community Center in Holiday, only to be told just before 7 that the "voting machines'' had not yet arrived. By then, more than 100 people were in line, she said.

"I'm frustrated. Why didn't they know this two hours ago,'' she said, "I wanted to make sure I got in by 7 o'clock so I could get to work.''

Walker said didn't know if her supervisor would let her go early so she could vote later in the day.
