Republican Blair leaves state House 60 race
There’s one fewer candidate in the District 5 state House race.
Daniel Blair, 29, a Republican, announced Friday that he is withdrawing from the race to deal with unspecified personal and professional commitments, but said he will try again in the not-so-distant future. He had raised only $500 and donated another $600 to his own campaign.
Blair, a real estate investor from Carrollwood, was one of four Republican candidates declared by the seat being vacated by Ed Homan, R-Temple Terrace. Two Democrats are in the race for the seat that covers parts of northern and eastern Hillsborough.
