A few days delayed with this, but the Bay Buzz caught up with Pinellas County Commissioner Neil Brickfield this week at the Council of North County Neighborhoods candidate forum -- and had some fun chatting about the County Commission races

It's been long chattered about how Brickfield, a Republican and former Pinellas GOP vice chairman, is backing Democrat Calvin Harris in the Nov. 2 election. Harris has lots of GOP friends. Brickfield wouldn't say it out loud, but also wouldn't deny it.

"I will vote for the best candidate for the position," Brickfield repeatedly said.

Harris faces Norm Roche, a former Democrat running as a Republican.
