St. Pete's pact with the Rays: Airtight or loosey goosey?

ST. PETERSBURG -- Despite the speculative hubbub about the Rays leaving for a new stadium in Tampa , St. Pete officials say they aren't worried.

The reason why? The 1995 agreement that they say binds the team to Tropicana Field through the 2027 season. St. Petersburg Mayor Bill Foster said the Taj Majal could be built for the club in Tampa, and it wouldn't matter because of the pact.

That agreement and two amendments to it log 138 pages, and in the coming weeks, it will be among the most scrutinized documents in Tampa Bay . Does it lock the team in St. Pete, or is there a loophole that would allow the team to soon play ball in Hillsborough?

Check it out for yourself.
