Stacy Frank weighs state House run
Long-time Tampa attorney Stacy Frank, a Democrat, said she's "seriously" weighing a run for the District 57 state House seat being vacated by Republican Faye Culp. Frank is the daughter of Pat Frank, a former Hillsborough County Commissioner and current Clerk of the Circuit Court. Frank said she'll make a formal announcement Nov. 2. "Coming from a family that's been involved in public service, it matters to me what happens both at a state level as well as a local level," she said. "There are some hard decisions facing government, and my background would make me well suited to help with those decisions." The only other Democrat who's filed to replace Culp (she's term-limited out of the seat), is Clifford Somers. So far, there are four Republicans vying for the seat.
