Susan Latvala in a fight? Rival's poll says yes
Democratic rival Bob Hackworth's polling numbers this week suggest he's made it a tighter race to oust County Commissioner Susan Latvala.
Latvala, a Republican, received support from 43 percent , Hackworth has 37 percent and 20 percent were undecided, according to a poll of 300 likely voters this week in the north Pinellas district. The margin of error was 5.6 percentage points, according to pollster Tom Eldon.
Hackworth's team is also saying they have more good signs: 29 percent want to re-elect the incumbent, and 44 percent want someone else.
Latvala's positive-to-negative name ID: 35-to-28.
Outside the horse race, the numbers are largely the same as stats are largely the same in a poll report in February.
Here's one more caveat: The campaign provided stats, but not the full survey.
