Tampa mayor's husband ain't moving to Pinellas
So Bay Buzz is wondering, didn't he think of this before?
Mark Woodard, an assistant Pinellas County administrator, has withdrawn from contention for county administrator. Woodard, who was one of five finalists, said in his letter to commissioners that "residency may be perceived as important'' for the permanent county administrator. "I understand that,'' he said. Woodard is married to Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio and lives there.
Commissioners are searching for a permanent replacement for Steve Spratt, who resigned in September. Fred Marquis, a former and long-serving Pinellas administrator, is serving as interim administrator.
