VFW Political Action Committee endorses Bill Young
Republican Congressman C.W. Bill Young has received the endorsement of the Veterans of Foreign Wars political action committee in his run against Democrat Charlie Justice. From his campaign announcement Tuesday:
"The Veterans of Foreign Wars Political Action Committee has endorsed Congressman Young's re-election to Congress citing his strong support for veterans, national security and defense, and military personnel issues. Bill and (wife) Beverly Young have made it their highest priority to care for the needs of our nation's service members and their families.
They both have received national service awards from the VFW in recognition of their work. Upon accepting the award, Congressman Young told a national VFW convention, "We could have retired quite some time ago, but I have committed to stay so that I can continue to lead the charge for those who serve in the military, those who served in the past and those who serve in the future."
The congressman is the ranking Republican on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense and is a member of the Subcommittee on Veterans Affairs.
