Dunedin staff, residents to discuss bike route Tuesday
Dunedin residents are invited Tuesday to discuss a potential bike and pedestrian route with city staff.
The proposed project includes widening the sidewalk on the south side of Michigan Boulevard, creating a paved surface through Highlander Park to the bridge at the northern end of Patricia Avenue, and adding signs along Patricia Avenue and McCarty Street.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Dunedin Community Center, 1920 Pinehurst Rd., in the Aberdeen Room. Call (727) 298-3199 for information.
When Dunedin first unveiled its citywide bicycle/pedestrian master plan in November 2011, it met adamant resistance from at least one neighborhood. To view maps and other city documents related to the overarching plan, click here.
