Fasano to appear at Murphy rally
Mike Fasano virtually promised he wouldn’t endorse any candidate in the House District 36 race after resigning his House seat in August to become Pasco’s tax collector.
But lately, it looks as if Fasano is getting back into the game.
Two weeks ago, he disclosed he voted for the race’s Democrat, Amanda Murphy, and last weekend he repeated that message in thousands automated phone calls to district voters.
Now, with the election a few days away, Fasano is bringing his support for Murphy farther out into the open: A Republican with broad bi-partisan appeal, Fasano is set to appear an Early Vote rally in support of Murphy.
The rally is set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the West Pasco Government Center, 8731 Citizens Drive.
The event comes as Murphy’s Republican opponent, Bill Gunter, is set to hold his own rally at about the same time. Gunter promises to feature a special guest as well: Attorney General Pam Bondi.
