Former ambassador Mel Sembler to host fundraiser for St. Peterburg Mayor Bill Foster

In the race for campaign dollars, Mayor Bill Foster is getting help from some city residents with deep pockets.

St. Petersburg developer and former ambassador Mel Sembler is hosting an event for Foster on July 16 at the Sembler Center on Central Avenue. This email went out to supporters:

With the St. Petersburg mayoral election just a few short months away (August 27), we need your help to ensure the reelection of Mayor Bill Foster.  Please join us at a reception for Mayor Foster to be held from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at the Sembler Center, 5858 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg.

We are asking our friends to attend and contribute a minimum of $250 with a maximum of $500 to the campaign to reelect Mayor Foster.  An invitation is attached with details.

Mayor Foster has a vision for the future of St. Petersburg.  He plans to continue supporting business expansion and job growth to enlarge the city’s commercial tax base. Public safety will continue to be a top priority.

He wants to ensure that St. Petersburg schools have the necessary resources for the education of our children. Let’s work together to help Mayor Foster achieve his goals for the betterment of St. Petersburg.

Even if you are not able to attend, we hope you will support Mayor Foster’s campaign by giving the maximum contribution of $500.  You can send your check, made payable to Bill Foster Campaign, to Mel Sembler, 5858 Central Avenue, St. Petersburg 33707.

Please help ensure Mayor Foster has the necessary funds to win this important race.  We look forward to seeing you on July 16.
