Group connected to Florida Realtors hits St. Petersburg mayoral candidate Kathleen Ford
One of the Florida’s biggest lobbying groups has entered the St. Petersburg mayoral race.
The Council for Stronger Neighborhoods, a group connected to the Florida Realtors, recently sent glossy mailers city voters denouncing Kathleen Ford in her third quest to lead the city.
One side of the ad calls Ford “unfit to lead” and says she “is making a mockery of a yet another election.”
The other side points out she missed forums and has “attempted to ridicule an opponent over an “obscure, long-ago dispute on the City Council.”
The group urges voters to “call Kathleen Ford and tell her we can’t afford her desperate campaign tactics.”
The Council for Stronger Neighborhoods, an electioneering communications organization, is registered at 7025 Augusta National Drive in Orlando. That’s the same address as the Florida Realtors.
Mayor Bill Foster recently received an endorsement from the Pinellas Realtor Organization.
