Group taking survey on Cuba issues
In conjunction with a forum Wednesday in downtown Tampa, organizers are taking a straw poll on three elements of U.S. policy toward Cuba: the 51-year-old trade embargo, travel restrictions and Cuba’s place on a list of state sponsors of terrorism.

“Anybody can participate in the poll; you don’t have to give your name,” said Steve Michelini, managing director of the World Trade Center Tampa Bay, one of two nonpartisan groups that is sponsoring Wednesday’s lunchtime panel discussion.
Results will be announced during the event, scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Hilton Tampa Downtown (formerly the Hyatt Regency). The event is open to the public, but reservations are required. Tickets, which include lunch, are $40. To make reservations or for more information, call Sokha Im at (813) 864-4500 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
