Kriseman keeps stockpiling cash for reelection
Mayor Rick Kriseman doesn't have a well-financed opponent yet in his quest for a second term as St. Petersburg's mayor.
But he isn't coasting. His campaign announced late Sunday the mayor raised $51,000 in March, brining his total to $292,000.
Former mayor Rick Baker is contemplating a run, but he hasn't announced yet. Meanwhile, Kriseman keeps raising money.
Kriseman has raised $150,000 more this time around than he had during the first quarter of his 2013 campaign.
The mayoral primary is August 29.

Kriseman for Mayor Announces Raising Over $51,000 in March
St. Petersburg - Kriseman for Mayor announced Monday that the campaign and an associated committee raised over $51,000 for Mayor Kriseman's re-election in March. This brings the total Kriseman for Mayor has raised to over $292,000 with $250,000 on hand.
"I'm humbled to receive such broad support from people throughout St. Petersburg" said Mayor Kriseman. "Every day I hear from residents and business owners who are proud of how far St. Pete has come. This campaign will make them proud by focusing on the future of our great city"
The total raised in Q1 (January through March) is $150,000 more than Kriseman for Mayor raised in Q1 of 2013. To date, Kriseman for Mayor has 406 individual donors.
