Largo Vice Mayor Jamie Robinson withdraws resignation
LARGO — Vice Mayor Jamie Robinson withdrew his resignation Thursday after he accepted a job that allows him to stay in the area.
Robinson, 38, said he accepted a position as district manager of field operations with Advantage Solutions, a California-based marketing firm with locations around the country.
In late January, he announced his resignation because he took a job with Walmart that would require him to travel three weeks out of the month. His last day was set for Feb. 29.
“It’s been a mess,” Robinson said of the reversal, “but I’m happy I get to stay home with my family and then also stay on with the city of Largo.”
