Littlefield angling for Pasco Commission
Former State Rep. Ken Littlefield is aiming for a political comeback, filing to run for District 2 Pasco County Commission to replace outgoing Commissioner Pat Mulieri, who has decided against another term in office.
Littlefield, a representative from 1999 to 2006, narrowly lost to Mulieri in the Republican primary four years ago.
He won’t face the incumbent this time, however, but two other Republicans making their first bid for County Commission: Mike Moore, a business broker and president of the Wesley Chapel Republican Club, and Bob Robertson, a financial planner, who serves on Pasco’s Restore Act Advisory Committee. Robertson also chairs the Community Development District for Lake Bernadette in Zephyrhills.
Littlefield served in the House from 1999 to 2006. He was nominated to the state's Public Service Commission in 2006, but then incoming Gov. Charlie Crist pulled Littlefield's nomination. The following year he went to work as executive director of the statewide advocacy council. He held that position until 2010.
