Pro-Lens group debuts six new commercials

ST. PETERSBURG -- Between tomorrow and next Tuesday, when voters will go to the polls to decide the fate of the city's Pier, the pro-Lens group "Build the Pier" is running a half-dozen ads urging people to support the city's current contract for a new $50 million Pier.

The ads, all of which can be found on the group's YouTube page, promote varying themes, emphasizing the potential for political gridlock and stagnantion if the public votes down the project, and highlighting the appeal of the Lens design to tourists.
