St. Pete Pier design wins top award for NYC architects
The architects for St. Pete's new pier picked up a prestigious design award this week.
The New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects gave Rogers Partners Architects + Urban Designers the Merit Award, which recognizes distinguished achievement in urban design.
"We would like to thank our partners ASD|SKY and WORKSHOP: Ken Smith for their collaboration on this endeavor," the firm said on its website.
The other winner in urban design was W Architecture & Landscape Architecture for Plaza 33 in New York City.
St. Pete officials trumpeted the results on social media.
