St. Petersburg City Council candidate Lorraine Margeson attacked by snake
Sometimes pulling weeds is a dangerous job.
Ask Lorraine Margeson, the St. Petersburg City Council District 2 candidate.
While weeding her yard Sunday, the environmental activist was bitten by either an eastern diamondback or pygmy rattlesnake.
“Fortunately, it hardly broke the skin with only one fang, so issue is localized,” Margeson posted on Facebook Sunday. “LOTS of pain and swelling.”
After spending four hours in the emergency room, Margeson posted a picture of her wound on Facebook. Her swollen hand could have passed for the Michelin Man.
