Who's that knocking? Is it a Christmas Caroler? Or Eric Lynn?
If you're lucky that annoying cousin at your holiday table might be the one to answer to door when congressional candidate Eric Lynn comes knocking.
At a time when most political campaigns go into holiday snooze mode, Lynn has announced a goal to ring 5,000 doorbells (and possibly disappoint those hoping for carolers) across the 13th Congressional District in the next two months.
He and some volunteers started last weekend.
By summer 2016, Lynn plans to have canvassed every neighborhood in the 13th, which now covers south and mid-Pinellas county from Fort De Soto to Dunedin.
"Pinellas County families want a champion who will fight for the middle class, smart national security policies and Social Security and Medicare,” said Lynn in a statement. “I look forward to meeting as many voters as possible across all of the district as we continue to build a grassroots movement to bring meaningful change to Congress and our community.”
Lynn is facing former governor Charlie Crist in the August 2016 primary. On the Republican side, airline pilot and retired U.S. Marine Corps Brigadier General Mark Bircher is the lone candidate.
