Homeless person steals identity

A Panama City Beach woman apparently had her identity stolen by a homeless person, but she had no idea until she received a bill for an ambulance ride in St. Petersburg, newsherald.com reports.

When Christina Pope got the $604 bill, she contacted the sheriff’s office and pointed out that she’d never even been in St. Petersburg.

Sunstar EMS said a drunken homeless woman used Pope’s name, birth date and Social Security number when she was taken to a hospital.
