Man poses as kid to play football

A 21-year-old posed as a 14-year-old so he could join a youth football league, Hillsborough County deputies say.

Julious Javone Threatts, who said he was Chad Jordan, turned in all the necessary registration paperwork, including a copy of his birth certificate, to join the team. “He really acted like a kid,” coach Ray McCloud said. “My son is 13, and my son was hanging out with him, and (Threatts) acted more immature than (my son).”

Threatts, who is being held without bail, also tried to register at a Tampa middle school, deputies said.
