Adams gets flip-flopped

First-round pick Gaines Adams saw some action at left defensive end in the morning practice as the Bucs continue to experiment with ways to use him.

Adams said he played there at times during his career at Clemson, but this is believed to be the first time he has seen time there during training camp. We're not sure what that means for Greg Spires, who is expected to be the starter there, but the Bucs are trying to get their four best lineman on the field at one time. All they have to do now is figure out who the quartet consists of.

We'll have more on Adams in tomorrow's paper as we update his progress in camp thus far based on conversations with his coaches.

If you're wondering, it's been a mixed bag. Read the whole story in the print edition of The Times on Tuesday.
