Boston turning heads

We know Jon Gruden likes reclamation projects, like the one currently underway with receiver David Boston.

But maybe Boston has become more than a guy fighting to make the final roster one year after being released at final cuts. Check out the latest comment from Gruden.

"David Boston is not only in the mix to make the team, but to start," Gruden said. "He’s had a great camp. It’s a credit to him. He hasn’t missed a day of practice and I really like what we see from him. He’s 234 pounds and he’s running all the routes at different positions and he hasn’t backed down from anything."

Boston is currently listed at No. 2 behind Joey Galloway at split end, but he has been learning the flanker position, too. That's probably the position Gruden is referring to when he indicates Boston has a chance to start. We're not sure that he'll get the nod and start over Maurice Stovall, Michael Clayton or Ike Hilliard. But if Boston keeps making plays, heck, anything is possible.
