The Bucs have had discussions with the Minnesota Vikings about trading for running back Mewelde Moore, according to a team source.

   But the Bucs aren't willing to meet the Vikings price of a first day draft pick (either a first-, second-, or third-round choice).

   Moore has been inactive for the last two games and will be a free agent at the end of the season, so the Vikings have reason to deal him. First-round pick Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor are ahead on the depth chart.

   Taylor has been out with a hip injury. Moore has 10 carries for 71 yards this season. He would be a nice complementary running back who can also catch passes.

   But he isn't familiar with the Bucs offense and would be a role player at best. The more likely scenario is the Bucs signing Kenneth Darby from the practice squad.

   And forget about those rumors of the Bucs trading for Taylor and starting left tackle Bryant McKinnie. That's not happening. Imagine the compensation the Vikings would want for those players.
