Do we have a sellout?
That appears to be the case, even though the Bucs are yet to make it official.
The NFL requires teams to sell out their home games 72 hours before kickoff, which was about 90 minutes ago. The Bucs have been adamant in their stance that the game will be a sellout, which is a good indication they are willing to absorb the unsold tickets and declare the game sold out.
But they have not made that official just yet. We're still waiting for word and will pass it along as soon as we hear. It is odd, however, that there is still very prominent signage on the team website indicating tickets are on sale.
Many people are beginning to voice frustration over the ticket situation both online and on talk radio. For a team that has consistently trumpeted a season-ticket waiting list of more than 100,000 and has marked up tickets considerably for the postseason, the current situation sure seems a little perplexing.
