Sears says he'll play

Guard Arron Sears says he spent the weekend receiving treatment on his sprained right ankle and will play Sunday against the New York Giants in the NFC wildcard playoff game.

Sears, a rookie from Tennessee, was injured in the first quarter of the Bucs' loss to Carolina last Sunday.

“”It won’t be tough at all (to play),'' Sears said. ""Come Sunday, I’ll be ready to go. Just a high ankle sprain.''

How often has Sears received treatment? “”All weekend,'' he said. ""Fifteen minutes on and 10 minutes off the whole weekend trying to get back and get ready. It’s a big game.’’
