David Boston headed to court
One more law-and-order note to mention.
We should get word later this morning on the status of the DUI case against David Boston, who was released by the Bucs early last season on the heels of his arrest in Pinellas Park.
Boston, who passed an alcohol breath test but was later found to have GHB in his urine, has a hearing this morning in Pinellas County stemming from the August arrest. The so-called "date-rape drug" is also used by avid bodybuilders. According to police, Boston was found unresponsive and slumped over the wheel of his truck at a traffic light. He then performed poorly in a field sobriety test that later was made public.
Still, attorney Ron Hanes tells us he expects the outcome to be favorable for Boston. We'll provide more details when they become available.
