More buzz on Graham
We told you earlier today running back Earnest Graham missed his second straight day of OTAs.
Since then, rumor site profootballtalk.com has posted an entry that links to our Graham item but also goes on to cite a league source who indicates Graham wants a contract similar to that of 49ers back Frank Gore. Gore signed a five-year, $28-million deal last year.
At first glance, the thought seems almost preposterous. But then we recalled that Gore has the same agent as Graham, hard-bargaining Drew Rosenhaus. Hard to say where this is going, but the Bucs would probably be wise to make good on their word and extend Graham -- even though it likely would be for a lot less money. Though Graham is under contract for this fall, general manager Bruce Allen has said publicly the team planned to explore the prospect of extending his deal. Rosenhaus has told us as far back as February that the sides were talking. Still, there's no deal.
Draw your own conclusions on this one.
