Brooks out of Pro Bowl

Derrick Brooks may not have missed a game in his 14-year NFL career.

But it appears injuries may have the Bucs veteran linebacker passing on the Pro Bowl.

The Seahawks announced Tuesday that LB Julian Peterson will replace Brooks on the NFC Pro Bowl roster.

Brooks was hampered by hamstring and rib injuries this season.

The news comes the same day CB Ronde Barber and G Davin Joseph were added to the Pro Bowl as alternates. Kick return specialist Clifton Smith is also slated to play for the NFC.
