Linebackers coach Bradley hired as Seattle DC
The next domino has fallen in the Bucs’ busy offseason.
Linebackers coach Gus “Casey” Bradley is headed for Seattle which has hired him as its defensive coordinator.
And Bradley will be taking a familiar face with him. Former Tampa Bay linebackers coach Joe Barry, recently fired from his Lions defensive coordinator post and thought to be a candidate to replace Bradley in Tampa, will serve as Bradley’s linebackers coach.
So, the Bucs, who already have confirmed assistant head coach Larry Coyer and tight ends coach Bob Casullo have moved on, have another vacancy to fill.
Bradley’s contract in Tampa had expired and he had been exploring his options elsewhere.
Barry had said he was interested in returning to Tampa. He also was thought to be a candidate to join the Bears, who have hired his father-in-law, Rod Marinelli, as Chicago’s defensive line coach.
The fate of Tampa Bay defensive coordinator Raheem Morris remains unresolved. He is under consideration for the Broncos’ head coach post.
