Brooks to speak Friday morning

FEBRUARY 27, 2009

A quick heads up: We finally will hear from Derrick Brooks in a 9:30 a.m. press conference Friday at One Buc Place. No word yet on whether he will speak about his future intentions.

Brooks' only contact with the media since his release on Wednesday consists of a quick phone call or two and a couple of text messages.

Hopefully he provides some insight into his plans Friday. Whatever the case, check back for updates during and after the press conference.

Bright House Sports Network tentatively is scheduled to tape the Derrick Brooks news conference and show it in its entirety at noon.
