Barnes visits the Bucs
Jaguars free agent tackle Khalif Barnes visited with the Bucs Monday, according to Foxsports.com.
Barnes, 26, can play both tackle positions and would likely be a backup to right tackle Jeremy Trueblood and left tackle Donald Penn, a restricted free agent.
The Bucs tendered Penn a 1-year contract worth $2.792-million, meaning the Bucs would receive and first- and third-round pick if they decide not to match an offer sheet from another team.
The 6-foot-5, 325-pound Barnes was high on the list of the Oakland Raiders, but talks have broken off. He started 57 of the 60 games he played for the Jaguars.
The Bucs also hosted Broncos cornerback Karl Paymah as scheduled Monday, but no agreement had been reached. Buffalo linebacker Angelo Crowell will meet with the Bucs today.
