Browns CB Holly visits, deal for Crowell soon?
The Bucs continued to focus on improving their defense Tuesday.
Negotiations are underway for Buffalo Bills free agent linebacker Angelo Crowell, who arrived to Tampa Monday night.
Meanwhile, former Cleveland Browns cornerback Daven Holly began his visit with the Bucs Tuesday. Holly, 26, played in 29 games for the Browns in 2006-07, starting 18. But he suffered a season-ending knee injury last May during OTA's while competing for a jump ball with receiver Braylon Edwards.
The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Holly had five interceptions in 2006, returning one for a touchdown.
Holly was a seventh-round pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2005 out of Cincinnati. He played three games for the Chicago Bears as a rookie.
Crowell is a candidate to compete at the strong side linebacker position with Quincy Black.
