Galloway signs with Patriots

Joey Galloway fans will be glad to know he has signed a 1-year deal with the New England Patriots.

The 37-year-old Galloway, who was among five veterans released by the Bucs Feb. 25, also visited the Buffalo Bills and and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Galloway was limited to nine games last season after breaking two bones in his foot. He finished with 13 catches for 138 yards and no touchdowns.

Prior to 2008, Galloway had three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons with the Bucs. He should be quite an addition to a receiving corps that includes Randy Moss and Wes Welker. It also give Galloway another chance to win an elusive Super Bowl ring.
