Jermaine Phillips making the rounds
SS Jermaine Phillips spent Tuesday with the Chargers and is expected to now visit with the Seahawks.
Phillips would help the Chargers address a position of need, and they seem intrigued by the veteran. General manager A.J. Smith told the team's website, "Jermaine is a talented, physical veteran and we
were excited to have an opportunity to get to know him better. He's
played a role on some very good defenses. We enjoyed visiting with him."
No word yet on whether a contract offer was tendered or if talks are continuing. Bucs GM Mark Dominik said Tuesday he remains in contact with Phillips' agent, indicating the team still has a desire to re-sign him.
