Bucs make call to Plaxico Burress

The Bucs made an exploratory phone call to former Giants WR Plaxico Burress, according to NFL.com.

Apparently, the call was introductory in nature. There was no discussion of signing Burress, who has some legal issues to deal with after shooting himself in a nightclub.

The Bucs are not commenting on the story. Tampa Bay is a little unsettled at the WR position. Antonio Bryant and Michael Clayton appear solid, but there's virtually no experience behind them.
