Trade compensation for TE Smith revealed
When the Bucs traded TE Alex Smith to the Patriots last week, the draft-pick compensation from New England was not revealed.
Now, it appears the Bucs recouped a fifth-round pick in the deal, which is right in the ballpark of what we expected. Tampa Bay gave up a 2009 second-rounder and a fifth-rounder in 2010 to land Kellen Winslow from Cleveland. This, in effect, recovers part of that.
As of now, the Bucs have a full slate of picks for 2010.
