Former Bucs position coach recalls his rapid rise and Monte Kiffin
You might not immediately recognize the name "Gus Bradley", the Buccaneers former linebackers coach.
But if Bradley has success at the Seahawks' new defensive coordinator this fall, his is a name that could become quite familiar. The Seahawks' website has an interesting and detailed account of how Bradley ended up in Seattle, which basically is a result of former Bucs defensive coordinator Monte Kiffin's exhaustive efforts to turn over every stone to find bright, young defensive coaches.
In terms of the links we post, this one is a bit random. But I think it'll give you a good indication of the way Kiffin went about building his staffs, leading him to the likes of Mike Tomlin, Joe Barry and Raheem Morris. Because he had near autonomy when it came to defensive hires, Kiffin was able to show he had a knack for finding young gems.
With Kiffin now working with his son, Lane, at the University of Tennessee, the Bucs can only hope Morris learned something from Kiffin in this regard.
