Former USF standout Buie commits big no-no
There is a universal understanding in football that the quarterback is not to be touched in practice.
Former USF DL Jarriett Buie momentarily forgot this when, in an effort to rush the quarterback, he sent QB Byron Leftwich to the deck, drawing the ire of coach Raheem Morris.
Morris erupted, telling Buie to get off the field in an expletive-laced tirade. When Buie made his way to the sideline, assistant coaches apparently directed him to head to the locker room.
Leftwich was joking about it afterward, saying, "I can take it."
Buie is a rookie free agent who faces long odds to make the team. The team is not wearing pads today, donning just helmets, jerseys and shorts.
