Tampa Bay Buccaneers projected 2-deep lineup: offense
The Buccaneers report for training camp in under two weeks. Coaches and front office personnel are already getting back to business
this week after a brief break.
So, now is as good a time as any to look at just who will be playing central roles for the team after this offseason of change.
There
are new faces, old faces at new positions and jobs on the line. A great
deal is likely to change during camp and the preseason but, as of
today, let's take a look what is likely the two-deep offense -- at
least on paper.
Keep in mind, these are just our best guesses.
Also, remember there are some positions, like running back, where the
Bucs likely will use a platoon lineup. And since we have no sense
whether Arron Sears, missing all offseason, will report, I will not
include him at left guard.
So, here goes:
QB: Luke McCown, Byron Leftwich
WR: Antonio Bryant, Brian Clark
WR: Michael Clayton, Sammie Stroughter
RB: Earnest Graham, Derrick Ward
FB: B.J. Askew, Jameel Cook
RT: Jeremy Trueblood, James Lee
RG: Davin Joseph, Sean Mahan
C: Jeff Faine, Sean Mahan
LG: Jeremy Zuttah, Sean Mahan
LT: Donald Penn, James Lee
TE: Kellen Winslow, Jerramy Stevens
Some
of these are obviously pretty concrete. Others, like quarterback, are
unsettled. But it will all be hashed out pretty soon when the Bucs gear
up for two-a-day workouts beginning Aug. 1.
Look out tomorrow for a peek at the defensive lineup.
