Antonio Bryant gets hit, then makes catch of the day
The Bucs decided to go "live" for the two-minute drill near the end of practice, and Antonio Bryant was on the receiving end of one of the biggest hits of the today.
Then Bryant made the defense pay.
Bryant made a catch on the left sidelines, on a nice throw by Byron Leftwich, and was then gang tackled by a group of defenders, including linebacker Geno Hayes; you could hear the "pop" in the stands.
On the next play, Bryant beat cornerback E.J. Biggers down the left sideline and made a one-handed catch along the sideline for a 40-plus yard touchdown pass from Leftwich. It was a picture-perfect throw, which hit Bryant in stride.
Leftwich has been impressive today in the team two-minute drill and goalline. So has Bryant, seemingly not bothered as much by the knee injury that kept him out of practice earlier this week.
