Buccaneers receivers Bryant, Clayton to sit on Friday night

Coach Raheem Morris, as expected, has ruled WRs Michael Clayton and Antonio Bryant out of Friday's preseason finale against the Houston Texans.

Morris had said weeks ago, when Bryant first decided to undergo knee surgery, that it was unlikely he would play in the preseason. Clayton was not expected to miss this much time but suffered a setback against Jacksonville on Aug. 22.

The Bucs haven't decided what Friday's plan is at quarterback just yet, but Morris said today, "You're probably going to get  big dose of the young guys. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with those two older guys right now."

The "young guys" refers to Josh Freeman and Josh Johnson, who will play extensively. The "older guys", of course, are Byron Leftwich and Luke McCown. Leftwich was named the regular-season starter on Saturday.
