Tampa Bay Buccaneers to work out punters Tim Masthay and Dirk Johnson to replace injured P Josh Bidwell
The Bucs will conduct a workout Thursday morning with punters Tim Masthay and Dirk Johnson.
The team expects to sign one of those free agent punters to replace Josh Bidwell, who suffered a right hip injury.
Masthay, 22, a former University of Kentucky punter, was released earlier this week by the Indianapolis Colts.
Johnson, 34, is a veteran of seven NFL teams and was last with the Pittsburgh Steelers. His last regular-season action came in 2008 when he appeared in 12 games with the Cardinals.
