Buccaneers making decisions on offensive line lineup
The Bucs are still trying to adjust to the loss of starting center Jeff Faine for the next month or more, and they have -- for now -- settled on using Sean Mahan as his replacement.
The Bucs had considered moving left guard Jeremy Zuttah to center, where he has experience both in college and in Tampa Bay. But one of the reasons they intend to go with Mahan is because of his comfort level in making the line calls prior to the snap. The center position is the most mentally-taxing of all the line positions.
To that end, Mahan said today he worked with the first team in this morning's team walkthrough. Practice begins shortly here at One Buc Place.
