Bucs' Hovan: "Get your eyes on the (bleeping) road and let's go.''
Chris Hovan has some advice for his Bucs' teammates after the defense gave up 900 yards in the past two games.
"Has it gone our way the past two weeks? All right, get over it. There's 14 more games,'' Hovan said. "You're either riding and looking out in front of you. I do not want to see you looking over your shoulder right now. Get your eyes on the (bleeping) road and let's go.''
In Sunday's 33-20 loss to the Buffalo Bills, the Bucs' 31st-ranked defense missed 24 tackles.
"Twenty four missed tackles is embarrassing,'' Hovan said. "If no one wants to say it, I'll say it.
"It went from big plays to missed tackles. Now we have no more excuses. We need to go out there and get this thing done.
"If you like being physical, you're about to get exposed right now,'' Hovan said. "I'm telling you right now, if you're a guy who has shied away from contact his whole life, you're about to be exposed. You"re on a stage right now where millions and millions of people are watching. And they can tell who's a fake and a fraud out there. So we're about to find out real quick who likes to hit or not.''
